I was clipping his nails when he flinched weird and made me cut too deep in his nail as well as the little pad part on his toe. How can I fix this with out taking him to a vet? Right now he had a band-aid on with some tape around it to keep him from messing with it.

It's alright....don't bee too hard on yourself. It happened to me,and the gentle gal just meow and give a very little swat.
Ok, for the cut, just apply some Betadine or Acriflavine for it. Do it a few times a day as it may wear off.
If the cut doesn't heal or become infected, then take him to the vet. But from my experience, it should heal with 2~3 days.

If the cat is still bleeding you need to apply pressure and take the cat to the vet immediately. It may require stitches, medical glue or another medical procedure to stop bleeding.
If the bleeding has stopped it should still be seen by a vet in the morning to prevent a blood infection or worse. My moms cat (RIP Lady) got a severe blood infection from a botched declaw, a little cut in the pad and she lost half her foot over 2 surgeries to correct the problem. Thankfully she lived a long happy life with 3 1/2 feet.
This is your pet, and you are responsible for him and his financial debts. Particularly when you are the one that cut him. Cats wiggle, and if you can not properly restrain your cat, you shouldn't be cutting his nails. Always grasp the toe, not the foot to prevent these things.
When you're at the vet, ask them to show you how to do it properly so this never happens to the poor cat again.

It' salways better to heir on the side of caution and take him to the vet. As for the band aid, that won't last long. Cats don't like anything on their paws and he will gnaw it off. Take him to the Vet just to prevent any possible infection from setting in, and they might want to give him a couple of stitches depending on how bad the cut is, and most likely some antibiotics to fight infection.

Keep doing what you're doing. He'll hopefully get better on his own soon. If you take off the band-aid too long it might get infected. The same thing happened sorta with my cat Margot. She was cut above her eye and we ignored it thinking our other cat Reigna just scratched her and it got infected. It swelled up real big and when we took her to the vet they decided to cut it open and let all the puss and infection drain out. Her eye is still big. :( Good luck with your cat. :)

If you cut it real bad you will need to take him to the vet for stitches, but I doubt you cut him that bad. It should take care of itsself. For future use, they have stuff at pet stores and and vet offices called Kwik Stop that helps to stop the bleeding if you trim the nail too short.

If its not that bad of cut. the bleeding has stopped. Then probably the cat will be fine. Do keep your cat inside though to prevent her from getting dirt in the cut. keep it cleaned and antibiotic ointment on it. Do keep a close watch on it if it shows any signs of infection then go to the vets.

look at it. if it's not still bleeding, clean it with an antiseptic and leave it alone. it will heal on its own. just watch it and make sure it doesn't pick at it. if it is bleeding use a stiptic pencil (like for shaving cuts). if it is a gaping cut (but I can;t imagine it would be) it may need stitches which will require a vet.
it's not a huge deal, but you may never be able to clip his claws again.

Sounds like you were using scissors. Get a pair of clippers from the pet store. Put some antibiotic cream on the cut.
