when is everyone here starting school? like i'm starting augest 14 but i wanted to know when people here are gonna start. if you answer can you tell me what city and state you live in too, o and it would be nice if i knew how old you were.

My kids go back on August 15, and I go back Friday, August 4, with my students arriving on August 14 as well. My guess is that you live somewhere in Texas. (as do I). The real kicker is when you go back, but when do you get out? If you're starting August 14, my guess is that you'll attend 180 days of school (same as everyone else) and be finished by May 24 or so. All those poor kids in New England and back east who are starting in September will finish in Mid JUNE.

Thankfully, I graduted in 1997. I'm 27. But schools around here (Nashville, TN) started on July 26 (year round schools) and August 14 for the rest.

Wow, August 14th is a bit early to start, and I Thought our summer holidays here in england were short, but then you probably broke of school sooner than we did, school ended on the 21st of June for me and I Go back on the 5th of September.

Both my sons are going back on August 14th- Fort Worth area. I thought it would be peace and quiet for me but I forgot that with school starting means, PTA, fundraising, Boy Scouts, Soccer, Running Club, and anything else we can fit in!

Aug. 16th, Tinley Park , Illinoise! 11th grade, age 15!
Ive just moved here from Butler PA so Im new so it starts a day early for me but for everyone else its Aug 17th!
It sucks that I have to go a day earlier just b/c im new :-(
but I think its just gonna be like an orientation or something so it wont be too bad!
