I guess i should also mention that i no its not a tick because i used to volunteer at an animal shelter and had to deal with ticks and other things all the time. Also its 11 and my vet isnt open so i can't call and its not like he's in pain so its not that much of an emergency to take him to a vet now at 11 at night.

You have some great advice here; however, I want to comment on something that someone else said! You were told not to pull a tick off - that is so not true - any tick found on an animal should be removed immediately and then you should apply a small amount of alcohol and some antibiotic ointment. Chances are it is just sore of some sort - maybe he bumped his head on something. Put some antibiotic ointment on it and contact your vet in the morning to see what they suggest!

Is there hair around the spot? Basically, is it like a bald spot? There isn't much detail provided, but it could be ringworm. Does it look scaly? It doesn't sound like it's too serious so you can probably wait until tomorrow to contact your vet about it.

It is a tick. They feed on your dog's blood. Try bathing him with neem oil. It helps to get rid of fleas and ticks. Alternatively you can mix the oil in the shampoo.

Do not attempt to pull out the tick by force as your dog will get an infection.

try putting some alcohol on it... just a drop. if a bug, it would leave to find a new home. If not, it would cleanse the area. If troublesome to you, call and ask a vet.
