Right, George Bush now has the power to brain wash our troops. It's funny that the very people that seem to despise the President, are actually the very people that give him a lot of credit for being able to do some pretty outrageous stuff. Planning and carrying out 9/11, out to get the American people, brain washing...Compared to President Bush, our next President is going to be very dull!

I don't remember having any government official telling me to drink or eat anything or take any type of medication before I signed the dotted line all 7 times I enlisted/re-enlisted. To brain wash some one to serve in the military is stupid because you take away a persons ability to perform at his/her best if it is coerced by drugs hypnosis or other ways. SO NO he didn't brain wash anyone (Even my dirty mind could use a little cleaning, but not to sign up in the military)

No, I don't think anyone has been brainwashed. Every US soldier joined the military willfully. They knew that they could be placed in battle and were trained to fight.
I do strongly disagree with extending a soldier's tour when he has fulfilled his contractual duty. I also don't think any of our soldiers should be made to rebuild a nation. They are fighters not diplomats.

"Brain washed?" To what end? And how? WE are not the bad guys here - they're the ones who crash civilian jets into skyscrapers, behead "infedels", bomb civilian targets, and riot at the mere hint that Islam isn't THE ONLY religion in the world. If there is a better solution than confronting the terrorists in their base of operation - TELL US !

The soldiers are simply doing their job that they signed up for.
And as long as we want to keep driving our cars, buying synthetic materials at Walmart, turning on our computers, turning on our lights etc.etc.etc. then we have no choice but to keep taking people's oil to support our lifestyle. Personally, I want to keep living my life style, and I know that the overwhelming majority of people out there also don't want to give up there lifestyle: cars, PCs, Walmart ect.
It's better to be in the country taking over a weak country, than to be in the weak country being taking over.

I feel sorry for the soldiers who had to die just so that GW and his rich friends could get richer on oil and blood money. but they signed up for it out of their own free will. i think the war in iraq is like vietnam all over again. soldiers dying and being victimised in a war that they probably dont believe in, a war that the rest of the nation (except a few cold-blooded neocons) think is worthless, coming home to a country torn due to a stupid president.
will somebody please make them (GW and his friends) stop?!
i am not an american, but i feel so sorry that the image of america in the international society is damaged because of a few privileged @ssholes

There is no possible way that anyone can resolve this argument, due to it's split decision. However, since I'm against the war and everything it stands for, I'm going have to say that's an affirmative.

George Bush didn't make soldiers want to fight for freedom, and they are honorable because they believe in fighting for it. I do think Washington could do more to support them though.
