With all of the security measures being taken in regards to travel. I would certainly recommend that you update your passport. You don't want to have any unnecessary problems or travel delays. Beginning January 1, 2007 every U.S. citizen traveling internationally will be required to have a valid passport.

If you have a passport, that is what you shoud use to travel. The name on your ticket should match the passport but if they dont, you can still board the cruise, just have a copy of your marriage certificate with you to presesnt along with the passport. Your driver's liscense will not even be used for your trip, so it does not matter what name is on it.

You need to get the name changed on your passport. Simply traveling with your marriage license is not good enough. Your plane tickets and cruise tickets need to be booked with the name that your passport shows - especially if you are traveling internationally. Get the name on your passport updated ASAP or you may have some problems going through customs and boarding. You may not, but you easily may.

It's not a problem if you bring your marriage license. The best solution, if you have the time before you travel, is to get your passport updated. It was really easy and only cost $15.00 when I did it 2 years ago. Hope this helps!!!

The cruise that I recently went on told us that everything had to match...to be safe, I would get your passport changed to your married name. If you do not have enough time before you travel, call and explain to them. Maybe they will accept a copy of your marriage certificate

You need to send your passport in to the passport office for an undate and they will put an amendment with your new last name on the back page of it. Send the pasport along with an application for amendment and a copy of your marriage certificate.

If you bring along the marriage certificate, that's OK. Some places will want all documentation to agree.
