i have a 3 years old daughter with a canadian father. Her father is a filipino immigrant in CAnada. He abandoned us and left with another woman. I want to know where i could file a child support for my daughter since im here in the philippines and i cannot locate her father now. We are not married but last 2005 my ex bf recognize my daughter and transfer his name to my daugther.

YOU need to file for child support where you are at. It is the only option in this case. Since both you and the ex have the same citizenship -- they should be able to trace him through their citizen registries and their embassy in the host country.

Sorry I can't be any further help. For US Citizens, one files for child support where the Children live, and then the absent parent has to be located.

try the legal help where you live. dont know if like U.S. but usually it is where you live is where you file, and the d. a. will notify the last known of father with info you have. hopefully you did like my mom always told me. never sleep with a man unless you get his social.best advice is to contact legal help. they have free legal addvice on the website i am sure
