The full faith and credit clause of the U.S. Constitution makes a marriage in one state valid in all fifty, plus the District of Columbia. Just be sure to qualify for the SC license, such as any residency requirements, medical records, etc. I'm sure that you can find the relevant information for that online, probably through the state's official website.

You must get the license in the State where the wedding ceremony will be conducted. Some States require you to get the license in the County where the ceremony will be conducted.
You cannot get married in South Carolina with a Virginia marriage license. If the ceremony will be conducted in SC, you must have a SC license: if the ceremony is to be conducted in VA, you must have a VA license.
Once married in SC, your marriage will be legal in VA. (or vice-versa).

Get your license in the state that you are getting married in, and then if you return to your state or any other state it is still legal nation wide. Look at all the others that have moved from state to state, it would be a mess if they had to get remarried everytime they relocated. Once your married, your always married til you die or get a divorce. I will be married 30 years August 10,2006 and lived in 2 states and have enjoyed every moment, at the present we are foster parents and enjoying it too. Good Luck

Yes. Marriage is legal no matter where it happens and no matter where you live. Divorce may or may not be legal if done in a different state, but you could get married on the moon and it would still be valid in any state or country.

Yes. I did the same thing. I actually got married in Myrtle Beach on the shore and it was really beautiful. You will have to go to South Carolina to get your license. They make you wait 24 hours before you can receive them. I got my license in Dillon at the Courthouse. Even though my marriage failed, it was a great experience. God Bless You! Congratulations!

Check with your County Clerk. Some places have you get your marriage license where you live. Others require you to get it in the County you'll be married in.

only like absolutely everyone else suggested, enable IT circulate!!! I certainly have a daughter with my ex, yet he continues to be her father as i'm her mom. It takes 2 to tango, sorry. he's no longer only the sperm donor. Be fortunate he's wanting him in the time of the summer season. you're fortunate you're no longer one among those ladies who's infant's daddies disappeared and that they are caught elevating their baby on their very own. a minimum of you have somebody prepared to take him. Suck it up. It looks such as you're mad that your ex is happy and getting married and you do no longer choose your son of their wedding ceremony. Why? in case you have been the single getting married and your ex became asserting "i do no longer choose MY son of their wedding ceremony" you would be exceptionally aggravated. besides, you will desire to have replied to the digital mail right this moment once you have it because of fact it sounds such as you probably did no longer care one way or yet another. Now which you found out he's getting married, you're mad approximately it. i understand that's demanding to suck up, yet you had intercourse with this guy, you had a option to say no or be on valid delivery administration, it is the effect of your determination. strengthen up, and settle for that your son has a sparkling step mom. Meet her, get along with her, be an person. you would be wanting that out of your ex once you get into yet another dating, I recommend you supply him an identical courtesy!
