i had pumpkin pie spiced beer at a brewery in Grand Marais, MI.
It sounded really strange, so I had to try it...it was delicious!

Strangest is a hot pepper beer not really that good.
I have made many fruit beers, I also have used these various ingredients in different beers: Chocolate, Coffee, Vanilla, Maple Syrup, and various spices.
I have drank the Grand Cru but never tried to make it.

Grand Cru is not a style of beer, per se, but just the name of a brewery's best Belgian beer.
I've brewed beer that I flavored with the tips of branches of spruce trees. I've had peanut butter-flavored porter. And then there's gruit ales, a medieval drink.

The strangest was:
Untouchable Scotch Ale (Martha's Exchange). It was super heavy and not like anything I've ever had.
I've had fruit infused beers too, including strawberry, apricot, and apple. They all tasted pretty good because the flavors weren't overpowering.

I think the name was Mardsten's Oyster Stout or something like that. It was totally undrinkable, the first time in my adult life that I have been unable to finish a beer. I used to say that there are no bad beers, but yuck, that was bad.

Old Peculiar, an English stout. If anyone knows where I can get some in the Savannah area, please let me know. I'd even drive to Atlanta to get it.
