no it does not.but why not fix it while your doing the new floor.also when laying the new floor you want a smooth clean surface.i put down 1/4 in luann over the old wood flooring and this gives me a nice surface for gluing down the new floor.good luck

i just laid an Armstrong floor that is not glued down with a moisture barrier. i didn't need to lever, but i wish i had because i can feel the slop, but since its not glued in place it floats and i can live with it.

if its not level you will feel bounce in that area. if you lay a long board on the floor on edge you will see if there are any low spots.

Doesnt have to be level. It would look better if it was perfect but..... It does need to be very smooth.
