Fleas, worm, anal glands, hot spot or just a habit. Take her to a vet in any case.

sounds to me like worms!you cant always see all kinds in their poop!the are many kinds!so you might want to take it to the vet to have tests run, just to be safe!its better safe than sorry! over the counter wormers dont cover all of the kinds of worms that dogs get!they just target certain ones! good luck!

It could be worms. It could be the anal glands. Sometimes one of my chis will get a hair caught in their poop and go nuts because the poop will not drop.

Fleas or ticks. Get a good flea dip and the biting will stop.

Your dog has serious psychological problems and may be psychotic. Bring it to a canine psychiatrist for evaluation. Has the dog recently experienced some kind of trauma?

When my Boston Terrier chases round in circles, it means her anal glands need to be perched. If it is a small dog it probably is the anal glands. Especally if it is sitting in the floor turning circles on its butt or dragging its but.

my dog used to do that this time of year. it turned out to be dry skin but the vet tested her for all kinds of things. she was tested for worms, fleas, and mites. luckily she had only dry skin and we had to massage lotion into her fur and onto her skin. hopefully that's all it is for your dog also.

Dry skin possibly. I used to have a dog that would lose the hair above her tail every spring.
