The literal world or the earth will never end. ( Psalms 104:5 "He has founded the earth upon its established places;It will not be made to totter to time indefinite, or forever.")
The world or society of ungodly people will end. Nobody knows the day or hour only the Father.
The bible does give us signs to look for. See matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 and 2 Timothy 3

The world will end when that last soul comes under the blood of Jesus and the Father gets fed up with mankind.
How? The Battle of Armageddon. The world will not stay destroyed, no a new heaven and a new earth will take its place. I am so looking forward to that.

In about 4.5 Billion years, when the sun runs out of hydrogen, it will gradually swell, until its surface will be in earth orbit, swallowing the planet. After that it will gradually shrink and end up as a dwarf star.
At that point the human race, or rather its descendants, will either have traveled to other solar systems to continue its existence there, or will have perished here, with all the silly quibbling and disagreements having been delegated to the niche of unimportance it always belonged in...
Actually I think, that just as the fish left the water of the seas all these hundreds of Millions of years ago, so life is now straining in our shape (presently) to leave this world. It is a drive which evolved into us with time and will, if successful, ensure the survival of life as evolved on this planet.

who said the world would end it does not even say that in the bible anywhere. in fact it says it is a world without end amen. it say we shall live here with the lord on earth forever after the end of the seven year tribulation is over.
so it sounds like you would like to know when the end of the tribulation will end and that date can be calculated out to 12-25- 2012

I think the world will end the moment God wills it to happen. Exactly how it will happen, I do not know, but I am sure it will be similar to how the book of revelations describes it as being.
Please don't listen to the "date setters" and be deceived by them. Discussing the "end times" can be really exciting but don't let it weigh you down with worry and fear, Sadly, I have seen and heard many Christians destroying themselves and their faith with their obsession of the last days and negative thinking. The enemy will do all he can to pull people away from Jesus Christ, including deceiving people about what the bible says by taking it out of context and such.

It will end right now!!! OK i guess not... maybe right now!... perhaps not... or it could be.... NOW!!!... Oh well... really... I'm not sure...
Seriously... no one can know that... it says in the Bible that no one knows but God himself... not even Jesus...
How will it end??? The rapture of the believers first, then a 7 year period of tribulation for those left behind, then 1000 years of Christ reigning in peace on earth (yes absolute Peace), then the battle of Armageddon, then God will create a new earth that will be perfect... I'm being honest... look it up in the Bible... Revelations

I don't know the day, but the Lord gave us signs to look for.
It is getting closer!
But it's actually not the end of the world, it's the end of this age.
It will end with the battle of Armegeddon.
