my husband and I have been together for 5 years now.. When we play board/card games, we get agressively competitive with each other to the point we have to stop playing. We have a loving sharing and caring relationship, and this is the only time we every argue..why do you think that might be?

It 's good that you are able to look at the situation detaching from itself. Try interesting prizes for the winners just like "If you win, I have to kiss you or you have to kiss me"...kind of goals...wherein winning is important but has pleasant end to the games-times..
