I just had mine taken out today, how long should it be till i get pregnant. My husband and I are ready for another baby aren't , do i need to get an ovulation test and do it that way or just wait till it happens. I had the IUD in since 01/05 so i have had it in for 1 1/2 years, so will i get pregnant soon or will it take us awhile. Has anyone ever had the IUD and then gotten it taken out, and if you did how soon or how long did it take you to get pregnant.

This is information that is readily available at the office where you had the IUD taken out. You can call the office, as for a nurse and discuss it with him or her. They will tell you how to go about it and what to expect.
As far as the ovulation test, it depends on how quickly you want to be pregnant. Use the test if you want to get pregnant quickly, it will help you with that goal. If you just want to let it happen as it may, when ever, the test is not needed.
