I take the dog out because he enjoys a night out meeting new people! All my local pubs and hairdressers allow it but I would quite like to see if there is anywhere else where I can go that my dog is not turned away from.

Just to add in Scotland they DO allow dogs into restaurants and pubs, that a us law and not a british one. So yes you can eat with a dog here but I would like to know any chains restaurant which allow it.

Get out your phone book. Phone all the restaurants and ask them.

wow! I cant wait to see the answers you are going to get on this one..lol

Most american places wont allow you to bring a dog inside (restuarants, pubs, stores, etc etc) unless its a seeing eye dog or you are handicapped etc.

My husband is from scotland, and he was just laughing yesterday about guys who tell their wives they are going to take the dog for a walk and they go to pubs instead..lol

We currently live in Germany and people bring their dogs EVERYWHERE!

Depends on which country you are in. I believe it is illegal to bring dogs inside eating establishments anywhere in the U.S. (Food and Drug Administration law).
