Pull over as soon as you can. Stand on your feet.
I've been told that it comes from:
1. Insufficient calcium
2. Poor circulation
3. Insufficient potassium
4. Insufficient water intake
5. A combination of the above
6. Position of foot (don't point the toes out like a ballet dancer, keep them up towards you) or sleep in a chair when they are recurring in bed)
I noticed that everytime I wore heels, cramps would happen usually as I was driving home from work. I gave away all my shoes with heels and that didn't happen again.
I do get leg cramps from time to time and I've been given all the above reasons -- I still don't know the correct answer for the cause. When it happens and I am lying in bed, I jump out of bed and put my weight on my feet right away to stop it. Sometimes it comes back as soon as I lie down again.

the best way to aleviate a cramp in youre foot while driving is to rotate youre ankle if the cramp is located in calf you should point youre toes upward until you feel a stretch in youre calf.. being hydrated is also a good way to rid youre self of body cramps

I get cramps in the arch of my foot. I stomp my foot on the floor of the car as hard as I can to get rid of it. Same as with an itch. With a cramp in the leg, I would pull over to rub it out.

Pull over. You probably have been driving too long and need to get out and stretch.
Be sure to drink enough water and eat well. A lack of potassium can cause these kinds of cramps too.

Wow, that sucks...pull over if it's too bad. otherwise ignore it and use the foot anyways...But here's a thought...is your chair too close to the pedal? Have u been driving too long or stuck in the same position for too long? That could be why.

Turn on the cruise control and put down pressure on your foot. Otherwise stop and walk around a few minutes.

Pull over as soon as it's safe. Then flatten out your foot and walk around.

Do you have flat feet? I have flat feet and I get sore doing it too. It helps if you use a good insole that provides support or get custom ones from the doctor.
