Herpes is a virus, and it is not visible to the naked eye. It causes various diseases, however, that produce symptoms you can see. One form of herpes causes "cold sores", which are inflamed blisters, usually on the mouth or around the nose. There are genital forms of herpes, which cause similar lesions. Chicken pox is caused by a herpes virus. Once you're infected with this virus, it remains in your system. It can lie dormant for years, causing no problems, and then erupt again. The chicken pox form of it may come out as "shingles", a very painful skin affliction that often troubles elderly people. In all of its forms, it is highly contagious.

open sores in the genital area and you keep them like you do luggage.FOREVER....never get rid of them.

There is a cycle upon which you will receive breakouts and after that, they clear up. Even when they have cleared up, you still have the propensity to give or receive the virus.
