Absolutely!
Especially if you have moved into a new place or replaced the carpet or flooring. Sometimes even when you get a new pet or there are other cats around even outside.
Feliway has been THE miracle and last resort for people whose cats are spraying urine or cats who are urinating outside their litter boxes. Feliway spray is applied to the surfaces the cat has marked with urine (as well as other places which will be explained in our handout when you order) Feliway spray sends the message "I don't pee here anymore." Spraying and peeing outside the box is rarely corrected by behavior modification, scolding, or drugs. Be sure your cat is checked by a vet to rule out illness.
Feliway has been proven to be effective for:
* controlling urine spraying
* controlling urination outside of the litter box
* calming multi cat households
* ending or lessening fighting
* reducing cat's anxiety, stress, anger, fear

Yep. And both male and female may spray. It's territorial marking behaviour, like rubbing against walls, furniture, people (sorry, a cat rubs up against you for reasons other than affection, he's marking you as his property, lol)
Spraying is just a lot smellier. Even if you have him neutered early enough, he can still develop the habit.

Yes, some cats still spray after neutering, it's like they have the habit and don't feel like stopping. Especially if they feel they need to establish their territory. Even spayed female cats will sometimes spray.

Yes, they will especially for cats that have sprayed before they are neutered.
However, if you cat has just started spraying before neutering, chances are good that they will stop within 10~14 days. For this period keep him in a cage or close supervision until he stops spraying.
But if he has been spraying for a long time, then chances are they will continue to spray.

Absolutely! This displays the marking ability of the cat. He (or she) will mark their territory with their scent in several ways and this is one of them. That is why it is best to have them neutered before they begin to display this behavior. But unfortunately this may not always work. They usually do this when they are stressed or threatened (maybe outside cats getting to close). Talk to your vet. They can give you ideas of what to do and help discover why he is doing this. Good luck.

I sympathize with your desire to have a baby yet that's a bad, undesirable undesirable concept! Legally: no longer in basic terms can your chum get fired if caught, in maximum places that's a legal. and you're an adjunct. till you opt to have a baby in penitentiary, overlook it. Biologically: there's a reason in vitro fertilization is a low yield proposition: The situations do no longer want impregnation. through fact of this it many times takes extremely some tries. enable's settle for it - the "many times occurring" way of fertilization many times takes a a number of tries (on conventional). Ethically: people who donate sperm achieve this decrease than very strict situations and decrease than the insurance that their genetic textile would be used properly. they have a precise to have that expectation fulfilled. And what could you tell your baby? That they have been the made from against the regulation? Please re-evaluate.

Yes they can. Aside from marking their territory it could be a urinary tract infection so keep in eye out for straining , blood in the urine and your cat peeing in odd places. Good luck.
