You know, here in Texas, we are becoming more and more like Mexico every day. Billboards and radio stations are popping up en espanol more frequently, and when you visit certain venues and close your eyes, the only language you'll hear is espanol. The great irony is that my home is a very short distance from the San Jacinto Battleground, where Texas independence from Mexico was fought for and won. Illegals that are here must be deported and not allowed back in. No other country in the world has open immigration, and the fact that the US has leaders who have lost their minds and authorize such open immigration is frightening to me. Your observation that the "target" keeps moving and morphing is astute and painfully true. Unfortunately, the answer is all of the above. Unless and until the people of the US revolt against this unbelievable situation, our country will be lost. Then we'll see the blessings of liberty that were bestowed on us at our country's founding, withdrawn and lost. Sad days...

Mexico needs to support itself, which implies supporting their own poor, and taking care of their side of our border. Only now that the issue's been put on the table has there been any hint of reform in Mexico's immigration laws, but it's a week late and 100 dollars short. Border policy parity is a Really Great Way to do business, as well as full mutual co-operation with law enforcement. In recent times it's been apparent that there's been some improvement, there, and one can only hope that it'll continue that way. Mexico's been a crime-nest for decades. It's in the news practically every week, their police've been killed, towns taken over, armed gangs in their streets, corruption, it's really kind of sad. Now, though, it's become apparent that the same Forces Of Evil that've wrought havoc in Mexico would now like Act II to take place in the US of A, so they can go about their busines and do largely as they please, at gunpoint or otherwise, in OUR country.
I think it's rather heart-warming and encouraging to see average american citizens blowing the whistle on this entire mess. If Mexico/others won't reform, then the only way for America to protect itself from all of that is by partitioning the continent right at our borders, and strictly limiting trade.
No true american bears emnity nor animosity toward legal immigrants, people seeking a better life lawfully in our country. But, we're way past 'legal' in some cases, border patrol officers have quit or been arrested in cases involving corruption and undue influence, and it's a fair bet that a good shake of the old INS tree brought down quite a few bad apples there, too. The people engineering/orchestrating all of this are nothing if not crafty, but it takes more than slyness and sleight-of-hand to build a good country, which is where the US shines, and Mexico, well, Mexico's still mexico, our drunk jobless 'cousin' to the south, always ready with a sob story and a request for more handouts.
How generous are YOU feeling? I say mexico needs to move home, and tend their own shop, and we as americans need to do likewise, voting 'no' on mega-debt spending and limp-wristed border enforcement, and the other various and sundry ills that have visited themselves on our whole country in the name of 'globalization'. Illegal immigration is a law enforcement and voter ignorance issue as much as it is anything else, and I believe we'll see a more sincere and earnest approach to this whole thing starting next year...because I think this Congress is about done...and good riddance. Good fences make good neighbors, and good enforcement makes even better ones...

I love this question! You are so right - the pro-illegals change their stance more often than they change their underwear! I'm in agreement with "lucky2balive" and "sho gun renegade." Also, I might add that the pro-illegals who post here mostly seem to either be employers of illegals or else they are related to some or in love with one. It is either economic or relationship reasons that I can see here for their being pro-illegals. They don't care about laws that are broken or what illegals do to the economics of our society - only the benefit to themselves if they hire illegals and benefit from the slave labour, or if they are in love with one and so are speaking for their own heart only. They don't care about the overall effect on the country - they are very selfish, really, only thinking of what THEY want. There is no rationalizing with them as they cannot see logic, no matter what. I've been on this board almost since the beginning and I don't think I have EVER seen a pro-illegal regular poster see reason here, NO MATTER WHAT THE PROOF IS THAT IS OFFERED TO THEM TO SHOW THAT ILLEGALS ARE HURTING THE OVERALL ECONOMY AND SOCIETY OF THE USA!

The advocates for "illegal immigration" have no actual valid argument or single platform from which they can make a solid stand, so they are trying the "Shotgun" method. If you try many different tactics & arguments, eventually you may get lucky and find one that will be convincing to most.
As I look the situation over, I believe that they are running out of ammo.
All they have left is propaganda and defiance, which will only bring about the ire of those they wish to convince.

An legal professional needs to be in a position to argue some thing. So shall we embrace I wish to make a factor that rape is well. See, a lady has to have intercourse along with her boyfriend besides. So what change does it particularly make if it is her boyfriend or simply one more man who demands to get laid. See it like that: if he does not get laid, he would possibly dedicate against the law, or beat his spouse and the kids at residence. So right here rape evidently is well for society as such. Basically, the connection among authorized immigration and unlawful immigration is the equal as among consensual intercourse and rape. If you believe lengthy and difficult and will argue that rape is a well factor, you're going to even be in a position to arise with purpose why every other variety of crime is well for this nation.

I agree with you. The arguements that keep getting changed just don't hold any water. Some people just can't get over the fact that illegal immigrants are criminals, plain and simple.

The point is they don't have a point. They have a vested interest in the outcome and it is racial, cultural and economic, end of story.
