Sounds like he is using his dad and the cats as an excuse not to commit and not to hurt your feelings.
Maybe he is comfortable with the way things are now between the two of you and not ready to take it to that next level.
And you should not have asked him to move in with you anyway....it should have been him that asked you to move in with him. Guys like to be the one who moves things to the next level.
Sounds like your being alittle pushy on the issue.
If you lived with him and his dad before and YOU moved out then that could be what is wrong also. Maybe he has an insecurity issue since you moved out and got your own place and left him behind when you did it.

Whatever the reason...........don't push the guy and just let it go. When he is ready to move your relationship to the next level then he will be the one who asks YOU. And who knows, maybe when he does decide to take it to the next level, it will be with an engagement ring.

Start acting like "no problem" - sound sincere. Then, begin going out without him. If he calls, tell him you'll get back to him tomorrow, or later that day. Start making plans with friends - make sure some of them are guy friends. Have them over, tunes playing when he phones. If he cares, he'll start to wonder....if he doesn't care, you're better off without him.

Give him some time. Maybe he's not ready but now, you've got him thinking about it.
