Yikes. Once they are in the rugs, furniture, etc. it's tough to easily rid them other than having the house bombed and having the puppy go to a groomer and getting a good flea bath. You can put little cloth bags of cedar chips around the dog bed, behind your couch, etc. to keep fleas away. They don't like cedar chips. Also, put a tray of soapy water out with a light shining on it. Fleas will be drawn to the water and light and will jump in and die. Good luck

A flea collar can be toxic to such a young puppy, plus they are pretty much useless. Advantage is recommended for puppies 7 weeks and older, but ask your vet....he may recommend it anyway (it's very safe). Use a flea comb every day or twice a day to comb the fleas off, and put the fleas in a bowl of alchohol to kill them.

Ask your vet about Frontline, but I think your pup is too young. Otherwise, clean clean clean. Bathe the dog well (as previous answerers have recommended) and use a flea comb. Vacuum every day--carpets and upholstery--because the vibration causes flea eggs to hatch. Dispose of vacuum bags outside of home. Wash all dog bedding and plush toys regularly until fleas are gone. Good luck!

home depot or Lowe's has spray that you can use in your home that is safe for pets and it has no smell or residue as far as the puppie you can bathe him in original blue dawn dish liquid. just make sure to start at the neck first so the fleas don't run to the face and try not to get the soap in the pups eyes. i have a new pup myself and this seams to work great my vet told me about it so its safe. hope this helps.

If you have a six week old puppy, I'd be sure and ask the vet before I used anything. Better safe than sorry.

firstly spray your house with flea spray and then using a lice comb brush your pup to remove fleas in the same way you would remove with lice.Don't put anything on the pup as it is to young and you may kill it!
