Well I know a lot about OCD. I think you do have OCD, the obession part. I think that you should go see a doctor and talk to him or her about what is going on. There are plenty of medications to help with that. Good luck.

Its really hard to know, based on your description whether this is a form of OCD. People with OCD often have disturbing thoughts that recur (obessions), followed by some kind of ritual or activity that is performed to reduce the anxiety (compulsion). Is there anything that you do when you have these disturbing thoughts?
In any case, the fact that you have had these distressing thoughts for so many years must be very troubling and I suggest you seek some professional help. You can talk to your doctor who may refer you to a psychiatrist or you can consult with a psychologist.

I am an OCD and you have the obsession part but not the compulsion. Believe me, I know how disturbing thoughts can be. They can be as painful as any physical injury. You really ought to see a therapist. You would find a lot of comfort just knowing you've started working on your problem. You've suffered all these years, it's time to get some help. Trust me you'll be glad you did. Lots of luck, and my best thoughts go with you.

Probably not. OCD involves repative behavior like hand washing and checking locks or other stuff like that. Here is a site to check. Without knowing the person it is much harder to know.

Try reading these references. From what she is saying it is not enough for a diagnosis of OCD. But she did not give much info. OCD is different than this as you will see if you read on the sites. This looks more thike the woman is ultra excentric. She may also have a mental illness, but it is impossible to tell from the information presented.
