No he was trying to unite India and what is now Pakistan and Bangladesh. Watch the movie "Gandhi" Nehru is the one who wanted to divide India into Pakistan and India. It was because he was the muslim leader at the time and he wanted the Hindus and the Muslims seperated. The movie will explain it all and it is incredible.
