I have thick, medium length black hair, but I'm not sure how I should get it cut or how I should style it. I want something that's punk or goth or possibly emoish btw. Ooh, so website links for pictures of these haircuts and hairstyles would really help too.

Go to a hair dresser and discuss this with them. If a hair salon is too expensive try a beauty school. Much depends on the shape of your face, the thickness of the hair, etc. In person it would be much easier to solve the problem. Once you have the style you like you can problaly maintain it.

I encourage you to visit a salon and tell them to arrange you something different that you can enjoy and feel comfortable! Also buy a great get called "ICE," this gel really helps and you can get your hairstyle any way you want.. don't feel sad, your also unique.. in your ways, but don't procrastinate just for a hair style!

Cut it short on sides and gel the top up. Go to the stylist, they have books with pictures or computer styles. They can tell you what looks good with your type of hair.
