Absolutely! and it's been escalating slowly for a long time and it's only a matter of time before whatever it is that is going to spark the fire ( a nuclear or chemical or biological attack ) happens.

God only knows. But with the Iran, North Korean, Israel/Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iraq issues, we could be at the door steps of a World War.

I am not sure if it has begun or not. I see indications that the Mid-east is ready to escalate but it depends on the containment of several countries like Iran and Syria.
