Yes.

Cropping dog's ears is cruel. Most veterinarians won't even perform it anymore, since it is ONLY for cosmetic purposes (why not give your dog a face lift and breast implants while you're at it?), has a long healing time, and the poor dog has to have his ears taped up even after they have healed. It's really sad that people have to do surgery on their animals to make them look a certain way.

Best time is when they're young, but depending on diff vet clinics, it may not be too late. I wouldn't reccommend doing it at all. I work in a clinic and we think of it as inhumane because the dog cannot fold its ears back if it hears loud noises. But if you're still considering doing it research alot into the clinics and go with the best one :).

I would think that it would be too late. When my rottie had her puppies the vet did their tails within the first couple of days. Seems like it would hurt a lot more at his age, and then you've got to keep him from messing with them while they heal. Sounds cruel to me.

What is an APBT?! Whatever it is..I'm pretty sure you shouldn't clip it's ears...unless they don't have nerve endings...

Absolutely.

This is a cosmetic surgery and provides no real benefit to the animal. Besides disfiguring your friend, you will also be doing permanent damage to sensitive tissue.

Are you planning to fight your animal?

unless your dog is registered and needs his ears cropped for showing reasons there is no need to do so.. infact ear cropping is illegal in some European countries as its is considered cruel and unnessecary

YES!! This must be done when they are very young or else the pain level is too high. Please don't do it. Leave him the way God made him.
