Thank goodness you didn't give your puppy the bleach, whewww!
Do however bleach everything that the puppy has came in contact with, and everything you and everyone else in your household has came in contact with. Parvo is one of the MOST contagious virus ever. Confine the puppy to an area where only one or at the most two people can administer meds to this dog. Yeah there is a lot to be said for the whole family pitching in but not when parvo is in the house. Parvo is synonymous with Death, and only a few go to the brink and make it back, and some when they come back, they aren't all there.
Don't worry about vitamins at this point, just get the poor animal over this hurdle. Once she has come around then give her red blood cell and vitamins and the best food, but you can't throw all of this at her at once, build it up slowly.
Now you know that after you pull her through there will be a bond between you that no-one can break.
Good Luck and my prayers are with you, all of you!

Wow! The things people put on the net never cease to amaze me. I would do as others have wisely suggested and call your vet. If you have medicine from your vet, there's really no reason to do anything else.
The net can be a great source of information, but can also be a great source of MISinformation. Always use common sense when considering what you read on the internet. Bleach & water mixture can be used to kill parvo in pet bedding and you can use it to clean most surfaces in your house and even use a sprayer to spray it in your yard to kill the virus.

No, do not give bleach to the dog!! You have to clean the house with bleach tho to destroy the virus in your home. It is not recommended to get another dog for at least a year after you have had an outbreak of parvo. I hope the baby will be okay!

As you may already know, Canine Parvovirus is deadly.
Stick with your vet's recommendations. Don't make the situation worse by poisoning your friend. If you have questions, call your vet.
Keep in mind that Parvo affects your ENTIRE environment - your house, your yard, your car, anywhere the infected dog has been - FOR YEARS.
Keep other dogs, especially unvaccinated and young dogs off of your property.
That said, Parvo is very easy to avoid with a simple set of vaccinations... how did your dog contract the disease?

Not saying do it but our dog has just been diagnosed with Parvo and a friend of mine told me she was taking care of a litter of puppies who all had parvo and she said the only puppy that survived kept chewing on a mop that had bleach on it. So not saying do it but maybe take a toy that you have bleached and let your dog chew on it.

Don't let your dog drink bleach!!! How would that do anything??
Bleach is only used to clean parvo kennels, floors, leashes, anything the sick dog has touched. PLEASE take your veterinarian's advice, and your veterinarian's advice ONLY. This is a very serious and deadly disease to dogs. Make sure you wash your hands and do not come into contact with any other dog.

Ok, that take your dog to the vet and get parvo shots and if your vet says to do that ok, as for the human vitamins that's a deffinate yes especially vitamin E it's good for there coat. If you ever heard of an old series called Lassie it was a series that had a collie and I had one of Lassies pups back in 1968 we gave him human vitamins in his food and he lived to be 15 years old and that is old for any dog so yes vitamins and next time get the shots when your suppose to. Good luck!

sweetie, don't give your dog bleach. but here is a helpful hint or two. give your sweet puppy pedialyte instead of water, it has electrolytes in it and will help if he isn't eating as much. also, if he starts to fade on you, give him some honey or cairo syrup. that will raise his blood sugar and give him a boost long enough for you to either get him to a vet, or effectively revive him. good luck, parvo is a hard thing for puppies.

Don't do anything stupid. Follow your doctors instructions. Would you feed a human baby bleach if he or she had some virus just cause you read it on the internet?
I work in a vet clinic, and some remedies that I hear of are just plain stupid.
Good luck with your puppy! :)
