Ok, I have adopted a new cat but it is a girl. I already have a female cat but I heared that two female cats don't get along and will fight. Is this true and if so what do I do?

They will only fight until one becomes the more dominant one.
Leave them be...unless one is really hurting the other bad.

Eventually they will get along - or one will die...

just kidding

If they are both spayed, then the fighting will be a lot less. Is the new arrival a kitten? Most adult cats go a lot easier on a kitten then they would another full grown cat?
Actually, two male cats tend to get along a whole lot less. Some things you can do to make it easier for all, is to have two litter boxes in two different areas of the house. Sometimes, cats will get territorial over litter boxes. Make sure that the litter boxes aren't in a corner where it's possible for one cat to corner another. Provide two food and water dishes in separate areas of the house, for the same reason. Cats are pretty smart, and they will work it out eventually. They may not be best of friends, but they will learn to tolerate each other. It might be a good idea to keep a spray bottle filled with water to spray at them in case you need to break up a fight.
Congratulations on a new member of your family!

Two females are the worst match - but it can work! Isolate your new kitty!!!! SLOW introduction will help prevent litter box problems and fights! Your new kitty should be kept in her own "safe" room for at least one week. It may have to be longer depending on how they are adjusting.

Put everything she needs in there - this will give her time to adjust to your home, and the two kitties a chance to become familiar with each other's smells. Cats recognize each other by smell, not by sight - so if you give them a bit before they see each other - they can say, "hey - I know your smell."

Once your new kitty has been in her room for at least a week - and she is ready to explore (i.e. by the door) - put your current cat away and let the new girl come out and explore. Putting away the other cat will allow this new kitty to explore the house, without having to deal with the stress of meeting the other cat.

When they do first meet, keep it short and positive - like a new toy and play session. Hissing is not uncommon - but if there is more than that - new kitty goes back in her room. I would put new kitty away when you are gone/sleeping - until you can trust them.

Like humans, some will get along and some won't. It has more to do with personality than sex. The best thing is to introduce them slowly. Keep the new cat in a room with the door closed. The cats can smell each other under the door. After a day or two let them meet face to face. Expect some grumbling and hissing to begin with. It may take a week or two before they work things out. But usually if you are patient, they will find a way to co-exist peacefully. (Oh - no matter how loud they get, let them work it out themselves. Don't try to stop them unless they are actually hurting each other. Most fights are more noise than actual violence.)

I have two female cats and they get along just fine. At times they will just play around and fight..but within a few minutes they will both be laying on the same chair..sometimes they even clean each other! haha

this is not true - infact you are more likely to have females get along better than males

I had 4 cats all spayed females and all got along well with each other

When I was growing up we had both males and females (all spayed and neutered) and they did not fight. They had spats now and then, but they got along. Now, if you had two males that were not neutered, you would have two cats that would fight all of the time.

sometimes they will nto get along and fight. they could also get along well but dont ever forget the pecking order let them establish who is queen of the cats and it could even work out for the good. Just dont let one bully one to much i.e make sure they both are eating and one is not stealing all the food

Depends on the cats. I have three female cats, and they play madly across my apartment. But they don't fight.
