I have a bottle of 1974 Armand Roux Chablis1erCru that came from the wine cellar if one of the owners of Neiman-Marcus--Mr. Marcus actually-- My dad did some work for him years ago & he gave him this bottle. Does anyone know how I can find out the value of this?? I have tried searching the internet & no luck yet.

it's unlikely that it has much value any more. typically, chardonnays are meant to be consumed within 10 years. and even very big and tannic chardonnays usually will not last much beyond 20-25 years without becoming fairly oxidized. lastly, your chablis is a 1er cru, which is a step down from a grand cru.

it is an unanswerable question unless your dad stored this bottle in a proper wine cellar for all those years. unless you know that for sure, then...

the best advice: get some friends together, make a nice meal, and uncork the sucker and see if it is still good!
