There is no way UPS could pick up your car. I would tell them that you will only sell the car to someone willing to pay cash or cashiers check. That ought to shut them up if they are not serious.
If they are, they will pony up the money.
But, to be on the safe side, (should they end up buying the car) I would not have the car at your house when it is picked up. Somewhere public, a parking lot or something.

This is a scam, I used to get these emails all the time when I listed things for sale online, they want to send you extra money and claim a shipping company will pick up the item. And when they send you the check they want you to put it in your bank and wire them the extra money right away. Then what happens is the check they sent will take a few days for the bank to figure out it is phony and by then they have already gotten away with the money that you wired them. Be careful and accept cash only for your car or if they give you a check make sure it is a certified check and have them go to the bank with you to make sure it is legit.

Well my friend, I have had some considerable dealings with UPS over the years, and I have never heard of them shipping cars. However, I have bought and sold a good many cars over the years to and from private parties, and I have one very strict policy: certified checks or cash only--no "arranged" payments, nothing revocable. Were I you, I think I would call the police. Tell them your story and they may wish arrange a greeting party for this email entrepreneur.

It definitely sounds like a scam. If you're willing to take the risk...make sure you have the entire amount in your bank account before letting the car go. Otherwise, you're better off just waiting for someone else to buy it. Good luck

delet the email and sell your car to someone else. this sounds to fishy to me. I can understand someone calling about a car but any body with sense would not buy a car sight unseen. it is not safe to give personal information out to a stanger because they can use that advise to rob your bank account or still your idenity.I would think really hard before you do what they are asking

Is a definite scam. Is almost the same sequence I seen from fraud Ebay emails. Be very cautious. Besides, UPS won't ship a car anyways. Will cost you alot.

the person wants to pick up the car then send you the money through UPS?... thats retarded... dont do it... have him send you the money first then give him the car... or you could have him do a bank wire... you could also pick your own shipping company at the buyers expense and have them collect a payment upon delivery or you could always do it on ebay and u might get a higher bid...

I would not send my address to this person, you just can't trust anyone anymore, I would meet them in a busy place and have someone I trust go with me. Be very carefull, that letter sounds funny they are to eager for your personal info.

absolute scam. DO NOT DO THIS. nobody wants to pay the asking price without even trying to bargain. don't reply and keep looking for a seller. normally, if it sounds too good to be true, chances are it is.
