As many of you know, there is a serious problem with illegal immigration in the United States. Unfortunately this has caused the United States to receive much of the world's impoverished people. Certainly it is understandable for anyone to want to better the lives of themselves and their family by moving to the USA. However illegal immigration does come at a cost to American Tax Payers, and to legal immigrants who also pay taxes. What do you feel is the cost of receiving much of the world's poor thru illegal immigration and how does it affect you and where you live? How would it be different if instead of importing impoverished peoples illegally; if instead the US was receiving the same number(who currently cross the border illegally) of persons that are educated, with college degress, and or trade skills but arrived legally?

It benefits businesses through cheap labor, but costs the rest of us through taxes.

Wealthy farmers and landowners
have always considered slavery as a birthright.

Since the Civil War, it has been denied to them,

But they got it back
with the WTO GATS - FTAA -
NAFTA - CAFTA -agreements.

The Nation Of Mexico Has AGREED
To Export Her Poverty Into The USA
At The Request Of Traitorous US Leadership
Like Reagan, Clinton And The Bush Crime Family

And The Citizens Of The USA
WE THE PEOPLE
Are Being FORCED Into Accepting That Poverty

And therein lies the strategy
for addressing the question of illegal aliens,
the so-called ‘guest worker’ programs,
the sale of American citizenship for profit
and the destruction of the lives of American citizens
who are being crushed
financially,
emotionally
and spiritually
by the WTO trade agreements

We have to start calling it what it is -
The Modern Day Equivalent Of Slave Trade

And we need to dig out our blue uniforms
To fight the war against the Slavers once again.

Of course... US government is in big troubles at this time because of the lack and dependancy for foreign oil. Then You guys (US Gvnmnt) let come's cheap labor and your huge big Corporates remain calm with paying low salaries and having a couple of extra perks from the Gvnmnt.

US Educational System is not one of the best's... must of the population is just a HS graduated so companies are in need of Qualified Labor... (You have Indians coming to manage your IT Dpts, Asians in charge of your commerce and Industrial economy and ofcourse Latin American people taking care of service and production areas) ... Some Illegally and the most (Asians and Indians) Legally.

And this can be explained as follow:
How many IT DIRECTORS needs a Company? just 1
How many production or janitors or warehouse or labor or farmers or dishwashers or waitres needs your Company or Restaurant?.... MANYYYYY!!!!

Speaking about the culture (Art, education, social, etc) you are right... It's a cost for the "Americans" to be importing the poverty from LA for example and will be hard to educate all those people so probably the "American Culture" will change in some years.

We have always imported poverty. Very few came to this country well established. Our problems are with the Illegals and a bunch of stupid politicians that want to give them everything. Americans are pissed, and the politician will be screwed. Getting back to poor immigrants, those that come here and make a real contribution to this country will know a level of success. Some more than others.

No one can turn a blind eye to corporations and employers who hire illegal immigrants. They cut cost by any means which is health care and higher paying jobs that Americans should have. Most Americans can not afford the high cost of health care and because of this it will hurt the health care system and their health in the end. There is a nursing shortage and I know why. It is really upsetting that most taxpaying Americans can not afford to have continuous because they can not afford health benefits(if health benefits are even offered). Legal immigration I am for. Illegal immigrants do not deserve to jump in line and get amnesty. 5000 dollar fines do not cut it for me.

Low wages, more tax, and more unemployed Americans due to cheap labor, NOT "fat lazyness". Our economy would be a lot richer and have less problems if educated people who actually know English (shocking, isn't it?) and can qualify for good jobs come here legally at the same number of illegal immigrants. Think about it. Less people would need free health care and social services. Isn't that wonderful?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ONLY ones who benefit, are the illegals, and the DIRTBAGS that hire them!!!!!!!!!!! These are mosly uneducated, poverty level people, statistics show, so anything they might 'pay in taxes' is NEGLIGIBLE!!!!!!!!! They actually get MORE than anything they pay in, through social services, earned income credit, etc!!!!!!!!!! Just like the news story a couple of days ago about the family here in the U.S. ILLEGALLY, they already had several children, and the wife just had some more babys!!!!! They couldn't pay their bills on what the husband made,so the government, is giving them an EXTRA $700.00 a MONTH!!! Where is this money coming from??? EVERY TAXPAYING CITIZEN!!!!!!!!!!!! I ask you, is this FAIR to the rest of us???? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, illegal immigrant workers are a very important part of our economy - just as slaves were in the old south.

That being said, what they pump into our economy via labor and spending more than pays for social services and things that they use.

Poor immigrants are a net economic detriment even if they pay all taxes. Furthermore, their concentration in certain areas, since they don't pay for themselves degrades education and other services in those areas.

Skilled immigrants are a net economic benefit, assuming they pay all taxes.

That is the difference.
