Abortion is a medical procedure (obviously) But, it is morally wrong. When does a baby become a human? That should be an easy answer. It becomes a human the moment it is conceived. Thus, to abort that baby is equal to murder, which is morally wrong.

If a baby does not become a human the moment it is conceived, then at what point does it? At 6 weeks? 8 1/4 months? When it is born? And yet, at the time of it's birth, it is still what it was when it was conceived, but more fully grown.

We call born babies human beings, but they can't speak, and have very limited thinking skills, but we KNOW they are human. We don't think of calling them 'tissue' until they reach the magical age of being fully human.

If murder is morally wrong, then abortion is morally wrong. Because, abortion is murder.

Its both.

I do feel that abortion should only be used when absolutely necessary, ie., health reasons.

Some women use abortion as a contraception and I feel this is wrong.

Last year a friend suggested I look up this abortion site and tell her afterwards how I felt about abortion - it was a mind shocker and having had 2 miscarriages I realized how I had been brainwashed into believing that there was nothing distinguishing the aborted faetus with a human being. Wrong, wrong, wrong, even at 12 weeks it is a baby and I can say no more, it was horrific.

Go to one of these sites and learn for yourself, but, I still believe that for the right reasons - abortion under proper medical procedure is ok, but let the Drs. and nurses be honest with the woman is she wants to know.

Taking human life for any reason is still wrong and those that do should be made aware and accountable.

i believe abortion is a neccessary evil. Without it the world becomes over populated and there would be almost three times the the number of homeless orphans in the world because there were are not enough homes as it is place the ones we have already. On the other hand I believe it is murder and that every life should have a chance, but face what would we do with all the unwanted children if there wasnt abortion. I would never do abortion myself because i think it is a lousy form of birth control. If you are going to have sex you should use a condom or take the pill. Or better yet try abstinence

Abortion is no more medical than any other genocide. Someone might also argue that the deaths of Jews in concentration camps at the hands of Nazi "doctors" was "medical." Most rational people realize, however, that the goal of medicine is to heal, not to kill. Pregnancy is not a disease. For more information, see:

Is Abortion Ever Necessary to Save the Life of the Mother?
http://www.all.org/article.php?id=10682

Dr. Alan Guttmacher, pro-abortionist and former head of Planned Parenthood, said in 1967: "Today it is possible for almost any patient to be brought through pregnancy alive, unless she suffers from a fatal illness such as cancer or leukemia, and if so, abortion would be unlikely to prolong, much less save life."

Neither. True, it may be difficult to deliver your child, knowing that you were raped, and it is a result. True, women should have the choice to, that is if this were hell. What about the infant? Should't the baby have the right to live and grow up, like us? What if you were that baby, being killed because of rape? We wouldbe killing our next president! Scientist! We would killing our next generation! So abortion is wrong, the worst and most despicable thing someone can do to themselves, and the children!

I think it can be both... however...

A secular Life Span Development text book defines Life as "Patterns of change, involving growth and decline beginning AT CONCEPTION (NOT BIRTH) and continuing through the human life span."

This is NOT a religious text book. Funny how the definition of LIFE includes conception... that so called clump of cells that everyone seems to think isn't alive is in the definition of LIFE...

well it is medical, because it should only be preformed by a doctor, and really it is not moral, it's taking a life, but each person must do what is best for them
