who knows any animal lawyers in orange county?

I live in Canada, and as far as I know over here there are no such things as animal lawyers. Unfortunatly animals are still considered "property" in the eyes of the law. Humans can do with them what they want. The only organization that I know of who speaks for the animals is the SPCA.
What do u need a lawyer for anyways?
