It can definitly be done. When I married my first husband he was in the military. We had decided we wanted to get married in June however the Novemeber before hand he got his orders he was being deployed to Iraq for Desert Storm, it took a lot of work and many nervous breakdowns but 8 days after he got those orders we had our BIG catholic wedding. If can plan and achieve a catholic wedding with 100 guest in a week I know you can a simple one

Be sure to check with your mom and dad about if it's cool to have it at their house...just to be sure...and if it's a week where alot of other stuff is going on..like someone in the hospital or another wedding or whatever...be prepared for some difficulty in pulling it off.
What's the hurry? Once your'e married..your'e married. I mean...if you waited a month, a year...then you would still be married. Either way, you will be married would say give yourselves some more time to plan it. at least a month...its your special day...
Of course...theres always Fabulous Las Vegas!

i knew a couple that did this, it was fine. but they have been married for like 10 years and they both regret not having a traditional wedding. I would surprise the family with an engagement party, not a wedding.

it only takes 3 people to get married, and about 20 or so min for your vows . I think its been done in under 10 min in Las Vegas. I can marry people now legally thanks to the internet and a few loopholes in the system and well since I have read the bible and checked the facts...
