There is this really nice guy where I live right now. The only problem is we are getting ready to move about 5,000+ miles away. I would probably not get to see him again for a long time. Should we even try to start a relationship if I am going to be that far away?

I have about 3 months before I go.

I wouldn't try. But send him letters, postcards, and other stuff like that. Try to be good friends, maybe you'll move back someday, and by then he'll know you.

ehhh...I wouldn't, because in the end it would just cause a lot of hurt and heart brake. I would just be friends that way, if you keep in touch you might be able to pick it up when you see each other again. Plus, being in distance relationships sucks bad, because you just miss that person so much that it hurts, and you want nothing more than to be with them. I don't think its a good idea, but don't let me stop you if that's where your heart is.....

Yes because long distance relationships are good because u won't get to see him for a really long time and once u see him again then you will get all lovey dovey and you guys will kiss. I know it will work because that's my relationship. GOOD LUCK!
P.S. trust me i know what i'm talkin about
Peace out homie G

You could always just get his phone # and if he is back in the neighborhood, you can get back together. I don't think a long distance relationship will work, but you can always try. Good luck.

Have a nice day :-)

I think you should enjoy the time you have left with him. There is no use in staying away from him, because it is better to have loved and lost than to never love at all. Thats totally corny but really makes sense. Good Luck!!

Start a relationship right,e-mail,and call each other every day.You can also just be close friends and send letters to each other and if he is the right guy you'll see him one day and love will take it's course.

ok this is tough. you probably really don't want to just let him go...but the thing is that you can't keep him from seeing other people when you're so far away. you should probably keep in touch so in the future you might be able to get together.

if you truely feel that a long term relationship will work out, go for it, but be sure he feels the same way first. Talk to him about how you feel and you may find out more feelings he's having are better then you may expect.

That's up to you, sweetie. Long distance relationships are not very fulfilling. If you want to have a short fling with him, make sure you are up front and tell him. He is a guy. He'll go for it.

yes. If yur really right for each other, it can work. Most people say that long distance relationships don't last. If you're really right for each other, this isn't true. Good Luck!
