OK, I think I have a fairly good one here.
I work in the Mental Health field, and I had a client; we'll call her Jane, she was mean as hell....real mean, and schizophrenic as all get out, delusional the whole deal, homeless, a little funkier than some........... and she also had a deep rooted dislike of white women (which at the time I was unaware of)....now don't get me wrong, I am not disrespecting her, I am certain she had her reason's and they were valid. I love my clients and my job. I'm just setting the tone/ being as descriptive as possible. Anyway we had a Thanksgiving Banquet in the lobby of the mental health center where I work, and I unwittingly cozied up to Jane because I am a real sappy kind of social worker and I think when people are mean they just need to be shown some love and kindness. I am also a kind of goof ball...chatty.... outgoing type, and Jane, well you could call Jane real, real, sober and blunted. Prior to eating we all joined hands and went around the room and said a few words of thanks (probably about 70 of us) during which time we were all respectfully quiet when someone was speaking. When it came to Jane, she very loudly and clearly stated " I am very thankful that I have a love / hate relationship with Michelle...............she love's me!" (you know..... implying that she hated me!) It was a riot, everyone fell out...clients, counselors, all of us! It was priceless, probably happened 8-9 years ago, and no one ever lets me live it down.

i wouldnt say that i have been insulted by it but i though it was funny at the time.
I was at work and a customer who was all how can i say it "was annoyed" a little over a 1p. He turned round and said to me "God your just like a bloody cashier." So i said "Will yeah!" He then slamed it on my till and stormed off

A slap in the face. Although it was for fun, I was very angry and warned to person never to do that again or our friendship would be over.
Someone cussed at me once too... It never happened again for the same reason as the other insult.
I respect others and I demand the same from them.
