Do you mean the Israel-Hezbollah conflict, in which Lebanon is caught in the middle?
Or did it become an Israel-Lebanon conflict when the Lebanese government expressed solidarity and approval of Hezbollah's actions? Because by that standard, it also became an Israel-Syria and Israel-Iran conflict as well.
The out come depends entirely on who else gets involved. It if remains just Israel vs. Hezbollah, and the world armchair quarterbacks doing get involved, then Israel will continue until Hezbollah is not a threat. However, before that happens it's likely that one of two things will happen.
First, Syrian and/or Iran may commit troops in support of Hezbollah, and drastically increase the scale of the conflict In that case, the US and other allies will probably be dragged into the conflict and you have a nice little regional war stretching from Israel to Afghanistan.
Or, Israel may bow to international pressure, allow Hezbollah to regroup and retrench, and we do the same thing over again in a few years the next time Hezbollah attacks.

Hezbollah captured 2 Israeli infantrymen in an attempt to barter for a number of the ten,000 Arab prisoners in Israeli jails! Israeli reacted with a dis-prportionate attack targetting Lebanon's infrastructure and civilians! Israel replaced their goals as follows: return the two infantrymen. wreck Hezbollah. quit the missile attack by Hezbollah. Weaken Hezbollah. shrink the missile assaults by Hezbollah!! The Israeli golas have not been accomplished and that they found out that with the floor troops battles and as they confronted fearce battling from Hezbollah!! the genuine purpose of the violent Israeli attack is obtrusive now after just about a month: purpose the individuals. in basic terms the individuals could make Hezbollah quit. This however is bobbing up a adverse consequence through fact the mothers of killed little ones and the individuals with destroyed residences are nonetheless backing up Hezbollah -better than ever truly!!

Lebanon will be cleaved with a set DMZ where no weapons can be staged, and enforced by some form of international force with orders to use force as needed to maintain the peace. Oh for the days of the French Foreign Legion. Where are good goons when you need them?

Let's hope for mankind a truth, a cease fire otherwise I can see a third world war. Syria is mobilizing its troops, Iran is defiant of any agreement on the proliferation's of atomic weapons, Iraq is in turmoil and will never be one country under one ruler as there are two religious opposing factions at work.
