There are about a zillion dough ball bait recipes on the internet. A local weatherman known for his legendary fishing trips said to put a small cute of Velveeta and half a stick of Dentyne on a hook for catfish.

This is going to sound off the wall but bare with with me, First you get a box of the cereal Weaties and some of the soft drink Strawberry crush put the weaties in a very large ziploc bag then ad a little strawberry crush, must be a little at a time. close bag crunch between your hands until it is the correct mixture P.S. this will also work for very large carp. 20lbs or better

when we were kids we would just take a piece of soft white bread, remove the crust and tear the bread slice in several pieces that you roll into balls. Stick your hook through the ball and squish it back together if you need to. Keep in an airtight container so they do not dry out. cast softly, have fun!!!

1 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour. 1 can tuna in oil. 1/2 cup yellow corn meal. 2 table spoons vanilla extract.
Mix real well and knead with hands. Add more flour if needed to make it good and stiff or a little water (or chicken blood if you have it) if it's too dry.

For me I use wheatie's mixed with water, add anise oil. Mix well. Make balls and put on a cookie sheet. Insert treble hooks ( size depends on doughball size and average size of fish in your area)
Then bake till done = I slow releasing licorice smelling doughball

flour and water or just bread wet down and kneeded. For abit of extra flavour try a tuna oil or attractant to assist. Make these into small balls and attach to hook

Take fresh bread... smoosh it up in your hand and roll (or form) it into a ball. My father-in-law used to do that!
