You could have a couple things going on, but it is good that he is not losing weight. Try this: 1. Brush your cat at least twice per week. A normal comb or a flea comb often works well for a short-haired cat. A slicker brush may work for longer fur. 2. Feed the following: Mix 1 cup dry food, 2 tablespoons canned food, 3/4 cup water. Feed about 1/4 cup per feeding (twice per day). This should go down easier than the dry food. If the food is not sloshy, add more water. Put the rest in the fridge and add water, if necessary. 3. Give a little vegetable oil to your cat once in awhile, or use Petromalt or other cat laxative. 4. If you see any fur in the vomit, give your cat a little milk, each couple days. This helps pass furballs. Too much can cause diarrhea, so just watch to see how things are going. 5. Give him some kitty grass. 6. Have his teeth checked. 7. Is he gulping the wet food down? 8. Play with him a little more, so he has something to do, and may be a little quieter. Don't feed packets of the little "moist" food (the kind that isn't like canned but soft pellets). This has too much sodium in it, and might be contributing to his weight gain. You can also have his thyroid checked. Consult with the vet if he keeps vomiting or anything just "does't seem right". Cats can live to about 20 if well-cared for.

Don't give your cat soft food or tuna! Hehe.
I would take him to a vet, especially because he has only started doing this recently. If the vet can find nothing wrong, just stop feeding him foods that make him throw up!

Maybe your cat has an allergy to tuna, or maybe your cat has hairballs.lol..If he has fleas , he may throw up also. I would take note of what the cat is eating, when he throws up, and not feed it to him any longer. He may feel insecure, or afraid, for one reason or another..give him lots of patience, and love; don't scold him when he throws up, he might connect scolding with his having thrown up, when he eats any soft food.lol...In time it should stop if not, he needs a vet visit...SunFlwr

I had to stop feeding my cat wet food because it either made her throw up or gave her diarrhea. Get your cat a good dry food and add in some kitty greens (my cat loves oat sprouts--I got a little kit for growing them from my local -Mart store, but she likes grass and houseplants, too.) But my dog gets sick when I feed her wet food, too. It's not just cats. I say, skip the wet food and see if the cat does OK--if so, then just don't feed him wet food anymore. Wet cat food is kinda gross anyway--cats can definitely do without it.

Something about the food doesn't agree with him. My vet told me the best thing for cats is dry cat food like Science Diet because it has all of the nutrients they need. I stopped feeding my cats wet food and, not only did they stop throwing up, but their poops weren't as nasty.

My cat had this. She had pancreatitis which means the pancrease was inflamed due to enzymes irritating it....It gets real complicated. Anyway stop feeding him/her "wet" food. Only dry. Because this is a very painful condition in humans so I'm sure it is for a cat too.

Then don't feed him the stuff. Feed him whatever his tummy likes, not what you think it likes. Stick with dry cat food. Try Meow Mix. If he's an indoor cat, get the formula for indoor cats.
