No it won't make them sick. But please do not change to an adult food as suggested above until the kitten has reached it's adult size. It's not just the fat content that is different in the food. That food is formulated so that a kitten will met it's requirements to help it grow normally. Adult food does not have the balanced nutrition for a growing kitten.
And actually Purina is a pretty good brand. I prefer it second to Hill's.
Your best bet is to try to feed them seperately, and a set times. That way all get what they need.

Kitten food has higher levels of protein which is bad for the adult kidneys. You need to ask your vet to be sure, but I have a 12 year old with Hyperthyroid (not of the kidneys), and I did talk to my vet. I was worried about my kitty getting into the thyroid medicine and not even concerned about the kitten food being accessable to the adult cat, but really my older cat cannot have the kitten food because it could ruin her kidneys. I do not know if it is because she is already comprimised or if all adult cats would be at risk.

It makes them poop a lot because it a is low quality food and contains a lot of corn. Kittens can eat adult food at 10 weeks. There is not much difference between the 2 except fat. So to prevent the adults from getting fatter than they need to be, switch them all!!

It shouldn't... You just have to watch the kitten to make sure they don't eat the adult food all of the time because it doens't have the nutrients kittens need like the kitten chow does.

There's a reason why kitten are fed with kitten food and adults are fed adult food. The nutriets needed by the kittens and the adults are totally different.
Kittens need nutrients for their bone and muscular structure growth. Adults don't need it, they only need it for their daily energy requirements.
Also, kitten food is higher in protein, and if fed to adults will give them stones and cause urinary blockage.
So don't feed kitten food to adults and vice-versa.

No but they might gain weight because of the higher protein level, however it is actually a good idea to feed the mother cat kitten food for the extra protein and is recommended.

Yes, eventually, there isn't enough vitamins and nutrients in kitten chow for adult cats. It won't hurt them, but you should supplement it with something else.

Adult cats need to be getting adult food, because they need different nutrients than the kittne. Once the kittne reaches one year old then you can switch to adult food for it, but the adult cat needs adult food.
