This sure sounds like the flea collar has made your cat ill. wash around the cats neck with water and a mild soap to get all the residue from the flea collor out of her fur.Flea collars are toxic they are poison. Do not use flea collars. glad your taking your cat in for a vet check. It could be something else causing this. But I bet its the collar.

Roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms are the most common. Be careful handling your cat, because these can be spread to humans.

Do not use a flea collar, they do not provide adequate protection. I recommend Advantage or Revolution, a treatment you apply to the back of your cat's neck and it kills all fleas and flea eggs for a month.

I'm glad you are taking your cat to the vet. He or she will be able to give you more information, make sure to write down any questions you have. Good luck!

Your gonna want greater benefit... For infestation you may upload yet another dose as quickly as a week. i'm uncertain approximately frontline's yet benefit enables you as quickly as a week if the fleas are genuine undesirable. additionally specific that became a trojan horse you observed... Cats can get worms from ingesting contaminated fleas, or flea eggs/larva. It has got here approximately to my cats till now... No concerns... merely take the kitten to the vet to make advantageous thats what that's... (customarily probably that's!) and your vet delivers you the meds for the kitten and all would be nice! i comprehend you suggested the kitten had a effectual bitter scent... has the kitten been washed? Like i've got suggested till now take it to the vet and that they're going to inspect your kitty... Take care :o)

Never put a flea collar on any cat, but especially not an OLD one!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have fecal done. Cats can have rounds and hooks too. Those are the most common.

.Flea collars can be toxic - I would not put one on my animals...there could be tapeworms, roundworms whipworms, hookworms or giardia (a protozoan). Could be so many things making your kitty sick...if he is only 12 weeks, get him wormed (and vaccinated if vet says it is alright). Keep him indoors, and get a feline leukemia test (and an FIV test when he is old enough).
