I have a sister who moved to egypt and married ,they want to move back to the us and need my asistance in the form of sponsorship so her husband can obtain a immegration visa, I am wondering if there are any issues that i should be aware of ?

I presume that you're asking because your sister's income does not place her and her husband above the poverty guidelines.

There is little actual liability, but you are expected to make sure that they do not have to use public services to keep afloat financially.

Actually, she should be able to sponsor her husband herself, though it might be faster with you there as she does not have a job in the US. I believe the liabilities are that if he incurs debt in the US and cannot pay, you could be held liable, etc. I'm not sure that is ever an issue because that is only a governmental thing and debt is usually private.

Ultimately, I think there is little actual liability.
