Some things in the Bible are true. For instance, there really used to be a thing called the Roman Empire.
Most of the details are fabricated, though. That's not to say the stories aren't fun or don't (occasionally) teach a good lesson, but they're not history.
Most of the supposed prophecies were simply stretches and, at times, outright fabrications intended to make Jesus look like a Messiah. (The fabrications could go both ways; the author could pretend X about Jesus or pretend Y about prohpecy.) This is why the prophecies appeared mostly in the Gospel of Matthew, since that book's target audience was Jewish and would be more familiar with Jewish tradition.
That's also why the birth narratives and such display such amazing contradition. The original version of the Gospels, Mark, lacks a birth narrative, and then the remaining Synoptics all contradict each other because the details were made up to suit the author and his audience.

it depends on what type of evidence you're looking for. if it's scientific evidence, not really. there's some geoligical evidence that a great flood occured around the time the bible says but everything else is pretty much unprovable. there is ample historical evidence for the people portrayed in the bible. many texts from other civilizations besides the jews and the christians corroborate the existence of many biblical figures.

The Hittites were once thought to be a Biblical legend, until their capital and records were discovered at Bogazkoy, Turkey. Many thought the Biblical references to Solomon's wealth were greatly exaggerated. Recovered records from the past show that wealth in antiquity was concentrated with the king and Solomon's prosperity was entirely feasible. It was once claimed there was no Assyrian king named Sargon as recorded in Isaiah 20:1, because this name was not known in any other record. Then, Sargon's palace was discovered in Khorsabad, Iraq. The very event mentioned in Isaiah 20, his capture of Ashdod, was recorded on the palace walls. What is more, fragments of a stela memorializing the victory were found at Ashdod itself.

In a past life I was Didymos Judas Thomas aka Doubting Thomas. Today I am known as the Lion of Judas.(Leo)
Jerimiah31:8 Behold... I will bring them from the North country.
And gather them from coasts of the Earth...
and with them... the blind and lame.
The woman with child and her travaileth with child together.
A Great Company shall return thither.
(my 1st born is blind and lame, the woman is my wife)
(the company is me... a self emplyed carpenter of many mansions)
Zephaniah1:14 Near... is The Great Day of the Lord.
Near... and coming very quickly.
Listen... The Day of the Lord, in it... The Warrior cries out bitterly.
(I did 3.5 years in the Army)
John14:1 Thomas could not comprehend what Jesus meant when he said...
"I will come again, and take you to myself.
That where I am... YOU may be also,
and you know The Way where I am going."
(I understand now and... I do know where he is.)
)
"Tom Sawyer" by Rush.
"A modern day Warrior... mean, mean stride.
Today's Tom Sawyer... mean, mean pride.
Though his mind is not for rent.
Don't put him down as arrogant.
His reserve... a quiet defence.
Riding out the day's event...
The River!
What you say about his Company.... is what you say about society.
Catch the mist... catch the myth.
Catch the mystery... catch the drift.
The World is ... the world is... love and life are deep.
Maybe as the skies are wide.
Todays Tom Sawyer... he gets high on you... and the space
he invades... he gets by on you.
No... his mind is not for rent... to any god or government.
Always hopeful... yet discontent.
He knows changes aren't permanent... but change is.
Today's Tom Sawyer... he gets high on you.
And the space he invades... he gets by on you.
No... his mind is not for rent.
To any god or government.
Always hopeful... yet discontent.
He knows changes aren't permanent... but change is.
What you say about his Company... is what you say about society.
Catch the Witness... catch the wit.
Catch the Spirit... catch the spit.
The World is... the world is... love and life are deep.
Maybe as his eyes are wide.
Exit the Warrior... todays Tom Sawyer.
He gets high on you.
The energy you trade.
He get right on to the friction of the day."
(Northerner- A native or inhabitant of the North.

Funny you asked for "concrete" evidence. I have something in "stone." Is that close enough? And you only asked for one, right?
For centuries, people stated that the Bible couldn't be right because there was no historical record of a governor in Judea named Pontius Pilatus. Then, in 1961, archaeologists discovered a block of limestone with the inscription:
. . . . . . S TIBERIEVM (Tiberieum)
. . [PO]NTIVS PILATVS (Pontius Pilate)
[PRA]ECTVS IVDA[EA]E (Perfect Judea)
It's not concrete, but limestone. Hope that helps.

To provide that ONE SHRED of evidence is easy. But the deeper question is, "Is that really what you are looking for, just one shred of evidence?" So perhaps it might be good for you to qualify your question somewhat.

Yes.
Absolutely!
Archaeology has proven that cities that people thought didn't exist have been found. These scientists believed that the Bible was just talking about them but low and behold they have found them.
