I was saved in a little country church that my parents and my grand parents went to. It was in the summer of 1984. From that stand point on, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and I accepted that He died on the cross for my sins. If a person truly believes in this, they will be in Heaven. No one on this earth, Christian or not is going to be perfect. No one is perfect in a imperfect world. The only one that is is God and His son Jesus Christ.
May God Bless You now and forever!

No! It is up to our "endurance"..or how we live our lives accordingly.
Once a person is saved, is he always saved? Not accrding to the Bible
Jude 5, RS: “I desire to remind you, though you were once for all fully informed, that he who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.” (Italics added.)
Matt. 24:13, RS: “He who endures to the end will be saved.” (So a person’s final salvation is not determined at the moment that he begins to put faith in Jesus.)
Phil. 2:12, RS: “As you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (This was addressed to “the saints,” or holy ones, at Philippi, as stated in Philippians 1:1. Paul urged them not to be overly confident but to realize that their final salvation was not yet assured.)
Heb. 10:26, 27, RS: “If we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries.” (Thus the Bible does not go along with the idea that no matter what sins a person may commit after he is “saved” he will not lose his salvation. It encourages faithfulness. See also Hebrews 6:4-6, where it is shown that even a person anointed with holy spirit can lose his hope of salvation.)

NO> none of us should "boast" or become overconfident> Even as christians we must HUMBLEY admit that we are terrible sinners deserving of going to hell. All of us come short of God's expectations, therefore only by the sheer mercy of Jesus will we be saved. read matthew 7:21. peace

My kids were recently involved in a sprts camp, and the last day of the camp, the instructor asked this same question after giving a short sermon and explaination of the ten commandments.
Before listening to all he had to say, I was very confident that my place in heaven was reserved.
But, after his sermon, when he said, If you don't know for sure that you will be going to heaven if you died today, Raise your hand....several of the kids there raised their hand, including my own.....I could feel my heart screaming raise your hand, but I resisted....he then prayed the same prayer you listed with those in the group that raised their hand.
I left that building with a sadness that my children too questioned if they had a place in God's kingdom...for I have raised them to believe in God, I have taken them to church, I have taught them to say thier prayers...yet I feel as if I failed them in really helping them to know God. I guess that is partly because I myself have not found the relationship with God that I am seeking. I want it....and don't know how to get it. I have started reading my bible, but the connection, the spark is just not there for me yet. I still feel as if I am coming up short on what God wants from me.
I am kind and good, I try to uphold, and I ask for forgiveness and pray for God to guide me.....But, I guess until I feel that intimate connection to God, I will continue to question if he will take me to live with him for eternity.
I have told God that I know I have done wrong, and I have made mistakes, sinned against him and that I am not deserving of him....but that if he wants what is rest of my life it is his....use me to do his work.....I await his response. So am I going to heaven....I am not sure, but I do know for sure that it is where I want to go when my time comes.

It depends on if you believe in a monotheistic religion or not.
And if you did.. that depends on what specific monotheistic religion you believe you, doesn't it?
Catholics believe that as long as you ask forgiveness, god will forgive and let you into his kingdom and we could go on and on about other religions and their belief systems.
In actuality, you don't really know, right?
I believe in Buddhism... and I know that I have not reached a higher state, consciously, but what do I believe unconsciously? And are there others who think that I am fit for samsara?
I think I went a bit off topic :*)

i sure do.
i know 110% in my heart that if god were to take my life as we speak, my soul would go to heaven. i repent daily to god to forgive all my sins, to forgive all my unrighteousness & transgressions. i make it a point daily to make sure my hearts right with the lord.
jesus says to live today as if it's your last.
u never know when something can happen to u & take your life. that's why i stay away from sin as much as possible & temptation.
so yes, i'm on a 1 way ticket to heaven.
thank u jesus.....

Do you know for sure that there is a Heaven?
How could any one be so bold to say they know Gods will?
Why don't you qoute Corithians you know the ones that say a woman should not speak in a church and should wait until they get home to ask their husband if they didn't understand something?
