Redkin has this stuff called "Glass" its like an oil for your hair but it doesn't make it greasy. You put a dime sized amount in your hair (wet or dry) and just run your fingers through and style as usual. This stuff will help keep frizzes away and volume up.
If you have curly hair, try Aussie scrunch spray, its good about holding ends up high, especially in the heat (my sis's hair is naturally curly and she loves it)
If you have wavy or straight hair, use a ceramic flat iron (hair straightener) and start at the roots and move up with the hair, this way, when it falls, it will still have bounce.
Don't use too much product on your hair, it will always weigh it down. Good Luck, and happy styling.

Blow dry upside-down after a shower.
Use the cool setting on your blowdrier (plus, this gives it a healthy shine!)
Wear it with some hair clips or ponytail holders so that it looks more volumized (experiment to find a way of doing it that looks good on you w/volume at the same time).
Call up your dresser and ask--they'll be glad to provide a customer with expert advice!

Put a big gob of mousse in your damp hair, and then blow dry it upside down, then when its dry hairspray your hair upside down. If that isn't enough you can also tease it with backcombing at the roots. That's what people did in the 80's when huge hair was in fashion.
Another way that works well if you don't want a lot of product in your hair is using jumbo velcro rollers. Put them in when your hair is just damp, not wet.

Ok. This works really well on very fine hair. After you've had a shower/bath, flick your hair over so your heads upside down, comb it all with a wide-toothed comb. Then put a small amount of gel in your palms (work it around to get it heated up. it works better), spread it evenly through your hair then blowdry it. upside down. Then after thats done style as desired. I hope this works for you, cos it sure does for me.

Tease your hair out at the roots with your fingers. Use some styling mousse and tease your hair all over - it will help acheive more body. Try not to straighten it, that can make it appear thinner than normal. Also try the volumizing shampoo & conditioner from Garnier - it works really well.

for if you have bangs
keep the banges strate/straten them

then if you want put up some of the hair in the front and make a small bun in the back
hope it works out!

I wish I could help but I have toooo voluminous of hair and am always trying to calm it down. The best thing I could say is try stuff without silicones, and mouses seem like they would be good and voluminous shampoos and conditioners do work--try those [pantene, l'oreal, etc.]

upside down, spray lightly with hairspray, then blow dry part of the way...
then right side up divide hair in half horizontally, lightly spray, then blow dry a bit
finally, the one I hate but do on occassion, tease the underside here and there a bit..

I heard that if you leave your hair in a ponytail for 30 min, it'll add height and body to your hair. Then just spray with hairspray and it'll stay.
