You need to check your lease.. Some leases state that you can have quests but with restrictions.. For example when we rented our lease stated that you may have guests (no more than 3) no longer than 5 days and 4 nights without having them listed on the lease, the rent would be higher..
Check your lease and see what it says it may have restrictions that do not allow guests..
But if it has nothing in the lease then the manager has no grounds to complain.
Unless of course ya'll do get loud!! Lil

I live in the United States but it seems to me that unless there is something in your lease that specifically states that you can't have people visiting in your apartment for a week and they are not causing any trouble, your manager shouldn't have anything to say about it.
Maybe he/she is afraid that it might be a building code violation or something or that they may cause trouble or wind up staying longer.
It might have been a good idea to consult with the manager prior to their visit.

It's difficult. but in my country there is a rule that guests have to report to the legal officer if they like to stay the night. And We have right to get protection too including from guests eventhough they are our relatives. I think your country has the same rule to. And it is your right to complain, and to be left alone also you have right to fell the tranquality. You can ask the security officer in your country. Good Luck!

It sounds as even if you're making a dramatic substitute for the better on your existence type. Now you choose to the right thanks to set your own limitations, initiating with your previous parasitic friends. "Drunken friends' aren't any further somewhat friends to commence with; they're merely friends of convenience-their convenience. Dig deep and discover the braveness to break with them with suggestions from telling them that you do not choose to stay the way you probably did previously. do not be petrified of injuring their thoughts, because they were merely making use of you anyhow. they receives the message and likely get indignant at you, yet so what? you could stay your new existence completely properly without them.

check your lease. It might tell you more. I don't know about laws in Canada so I can't say. I almost had a land lord that would charge for overnight guests. ????
