Usually, a tonsillectomy will be done through the "buccal cavity" or 'mouth', so you would not need to remove a belly-button ring. You should check with the surgeon, though!

You have to remove all jewerly for any procedure.
Just in case something happens to you and they need to do more extensive treatment.
