Generally 6 months but regulations differ by state. Check the DMV site for your state or read the "rules of the road" book that you got from DMV.

Every state is different, however I can tell you in Ca if your under 18 you have to wait a min 6 months or until your 18th b-day. Also drivers under 18 must have completed drivers training.
Drivers over 18 can get their drivers license with no waiting. However there may be a wait to schedual a drive test appointment. That can sometimes take 30 days.

here in idaho you just have to spend some certain amount of time or miles behind the wheel with an adult

it use to be six mouths but i think it 100 hrs continue drive time put different from state to state
