The back pain more then likely comes from the fact thatyou fell on your rump. If you haven't had any bleeding, cramping, unusual discharge, and you can still feel the baby moving then lil' jr is more than likely ok. But if the pain still persits you really should go see a physician because you hurt yourself, just not lil jr.

When I was pregnant I also fell down the stairs, same thing just on my butt. I think when you are pregnant you get alot more clumsy. I am sure that you and your baby are just fine. The pain down your leg is most likely just your sciatic nerve, it is the nerve running down your back and into your legs. I used to get this pain all the time from my sons laying on this nerve. There would be times it would be so bad that I couldn't walk. So I am going to guess that you have the same thing with your baby. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and enjoy it while you can.

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Yes, definitely see another doctor or atleast go back to the first one and explain about the pain you are having. You must get it checked out immediately to ensure there are no internal injuries. Ie: cracked or bruised rib(s).

You very likely pulled something. Your organs are all out of whack with the baby, if the baby is moving that is great, but I would see another Dr. you could have bruised a kidney or something.

You probably caused a pinched nerve. But it couldn't hurt to get checked out by a second Dr. If you are still feeling the baby move you are probably okay, but still, it's better to be safe than sorry. I hope you are feeling better soon.

i had a slip and fall on stair but after my baby was born, they just told me to take a motrin and sent my to physical therapy to strach out the injury . so i'd ask to go to a physical therapist because really a ob can't help your back.
