Sorry to say, pal, that you and she are not on the same page!!! Meeting the parents is a big step.....she is thinking permanent! If I were you, I would tell her that you two and not on the same wave length and need to go your separate ways. If you don't want to meet her parents then that is on you and you must have your reasons. So, you are adopted.......sounds like an excuse to me.

It seems that the real issue here is that you have a complex about the fact that you have been adopted. You need to get over that fast because you are planning to lie to conceal the issue. That is not a good start for a relationship. Since you started off on the wrong foot, make it right immediately. Either she accepts you with the truth or she doesn't. At least let the truth prevail. Hope that she does. If she doesn't then you have to blame your self for not being honest in the first place. Do not delay because the worst thing that can happen is for her to find out that you are a serial liar. So get it right as soon as possible.

Listen...if you are having a formal relationship you should be honest with her. Being adopted is a great thing...just remember that your parents choose you to be their child...it a great love act so dont be ashamed of telling your gf that. If you think the relationship is kinds new...then try to make her wait and just tell her that you want to let time pass and be sure about her

Don't sweat it. Meeting the parents doesn't mean anything bad. Your issues are with commitments, giving them and accepting them. Tell her about the adoption, about how you need to move slowly because you have trust issues when it comes to commitments - this way she may be more helpful to you when you do meet the parents, she may help to make sure that it's not too heavy. You just need to take it in "bite-sizes".

If you really love this girl then just meet her parents. I mean whats the worse that can happen. Just shake her dad's hand, tell her mom how great of a cook or w*e she is & laugh at all the jokes even if they are stupid. It'll only be for a few hours so suck it up and do it.

Tell her you're adopted. There's nothing wrong with that and you shouldn't be ashamed. Also, don't be so afraid to meet her parents. Chances are that they will be great people. Just be yourself, there's nothing to worry about.

If you don't want to meet them then don't. Seems like your not as interested in this girl as she is you. Be honest with her,

If you want a relationship with her...meet her parents and introduce her to yours. Why don't you want too?

Tell her immediately. Suck it up and meet her parents -- it's only one night. And learn to use proper grammar.
