Well we are leaving for church camp and there was alot of blacks there and one of the blacks said that we are all black at heart

I can't see why that would be funny. It's not really a joke, something untrue that you say about yourself is not necessarily a joke. It would be funnier to say something like "I'm actually an alien from the forth planet in the XJ 117 system. I have come to this planet to gather information to aid my species in the conquest of your species."

He probably was saying that he felt that blacks and whites have the same heartfelt needs and desires. He may have thought that your announcement: I'm actually a black man" was an indication that you were uncomfortable being white among a group of blacks. Someone being uncomfortable is not funny or suitable material for a joke.

Seems to me that the fellow who said we are all black at heart is might big hearted. He must like you a lot. So I am going to assume that you didn't mean it spitefully, and that he understood and wanted to let you know that he accepts you, too. You're lucky to have a good friend like that.
(Just as long as you're not really Bill Clinton; "America's first black President".)

umm..well i guess it could be kind of funny..if u said it randomly during a convo. Ur friends would look at you funny, laugh, and someone would probably say "well ur doing a good job at fooling everyone"..and they'd laugh again. THE END. lol.
